The North Coast RSL Sub Branch holds a traditional Dawn Service each year in Remembrance Park behind Club Helensvale located at 20-28 Discovery Drive Helensvale.

The Service commences at 5.20am and is the Northern Gold Coast's largest Dawn Service.

Ken Golden OAM, North Coast RSL Sub Branch President, and fellow members have created a very moving service highlighting the history of ANZAC and the sacrifices made by those who bravely went to serve for our country.

It is wonderful to see the ever growing support and attendance from the local schools, community and sporting organisations at the service.

The service is followed by a breakfast and 2 UP commencing at 2pm at Club Helensvale.

Honouring those who have served is not merely a tradition—it’s a profound act of respect for the brave individuals who have defended, and continue to defend, our country.

Commemorations play a vital role in this act of honouring.

In the North Gold Coast area commemorations provide an opportunity for the community to come together and pay tribute to those who have bravely served our country and those who made the ultimate sacrifice.

Events such as ANZAC Day ceremonies, dawn services, and marches are held in locations at Upper Coomera and Helensvale. These gatherings allow residents to reflect on the pivotal moments that have shaped our nation, explore the historical significance of these dates and express gratitude for the sacrifices made.

Commemorations also remind us of the service that has shaped our national identity and the contributions of diverse groups of service personnel. Through shared reflection we can work towards building a better and more unified future. These events uphold the spirit of remembrance and ensure that the legacies of service people live on for generations to come.
